She is just young she will grow out of it!

She's doing it partly because of her age, and partly because she gets over-excited. If she's peeing when she's in trouble, maybe it's because you're too scary to her. Some dogs are more sensitive than others and need much less correction, but rather learn much better and faster through positive reinforcement.

As for the excitement when she sees someone, do you mean people coming to the door or family? In either case, dogs react to the way you react. If you're calm and quiet, she'll learn to be as she ages. For now, people should ignore her when they first come in - no eye contact, no petting, don't talk to her. Hopefully she'll calm down if things are kept very low key. Try getting her to sit and crouch down close to her, talking to her very quietly. Sounds like she's just a very friendly puppy who will learn control as she gets a bit older. (If you know company's coming, take her out to pee right before they come.)

She gets excited to see company. She is still young and bladder control is not on the top of her list. It is clear that you are correcting her too harshly (urniation upon correction). Use a gentler hand and calmer language when correcting her. Remember, unless you catch her in the act and correct her then and there correction is pointless because she will not know what she is being correct for. Have guest meet the dog outside, that way, if she urinates you wont need to clean it up. Also reenforce your housebreaking. Make her be calm when guest come over to your house. Make her sit and wait untill she is greeted.

What you can do to stop her peeing when she sees people, is to tell people to ignore her when they first come to your place, maybe just say a quick hi, but continue walking. She'll calm down after a while, and that's when the person can properly pat her and say 'good dog', she'll soon realise that being calm is when she gets attention.

In other situations, i would suggest not acting in an agitated manner, remain calm and have fluid movements so she doens't get excited by quick and excitable actions.

Ours does the same. She's 5 yrs now. It's because she's submissive or at least that's what the vet told us. So the standing rule in our house that gets told to everyone who walks in is: Ignore her. Don't pet her right away give her 5 minutes to settle down. If you don't your shoes will get wet. If she's in trouble we try to just tell her bad dog as we point to whatever it is she did and then let her outside right away so she doesn't pee in the house from nerves.
It will get better as she gets older. Skip isn't as bad as when she was a pup.

She has a nervous bladder. My dog has it too. Mine only pees a little tiny bit then she's done.
They're just like some people. If someone laughs too hard or gets really scared they might have a small accident.
I don't think it'll go away. She can't really control it. I know it's frustrating, trust me!
Sorry I couldn't help more. Good luck.

He/she is just excited..my shi-tzu used to do the same thing..when a visiter comes over totally ignore the dog for about 10-15 min. let the dog smell the visitor and investigate them and let them calm down. Then pet her/him, they should be ok. If they don't have an accident then praise them and give him a treat.

.........a 4 month old puppy, is only a baby , not sure of his/ her social standing yet , when you have visitors /you hold the puppy and let him feel secure ,with you .....(Labradors are a very sensitive, gentle breed )
untill he is past his unsociable habits,
and he gets used to your visitors,
when his bladder strengthens,
and he understands more .he will be fine ,just treat him kind ,if he wets, down rouse 2 hard because the stronger your voice to him, he will be scared and that also will make him wee more .........just like a child.
love your little fur person , they are worth it .
I have 5

this will go away but they do it out of submission. the breed is very submissive. i breed them and my female used to do it and it stopped when she turned 7-8 months. they also do it out of being excited but when they are puppies they can't really help it when they do it. just be patient with her and she will out grow it soon. to keep her from doing it is to try not to scold her because when you do that she will keep doing it that is a sign that she will submit everytime and pee. try doing other things to keep her mind off doing the peeing like take her to the park, lake, or just on a walk and when you start to see her not pee when you are doing things with her it will stop. like i said it will take some time but it will stop as she gets older. they also do it out of wanting to please their owner. put her out every chance you get and when she pottys outside then praise her because then she will know that when she goes out she is doing good. good luck.
