Dalmatians. I named the first one Lt. General WT Sherman (because he destroyed everything he came in contact with) the second one My Lady of Shifting Winds (because like a woman, she changes her mind very often) the third is Princess Lexi of Shifting Winds (because she is a Princess and like Lady, she changes her mind often) and lasty General Patton (because he is stubborn and a primadonna).

Lets see... There is our Siberian husky, Lobo, he came with is name as he was adopted from the SPCA. Then there is Gabrielle (Gabby), we named her Gabrielle because we also have a Shih-Tzu/Jack Russell Terrier mix named Xena, plus Gabby, gabs at us as well as smiles, she's an Alaskan Malamute. Xena got her name because she was this tiny little thing and we gave her a tough girl's name. We also have Stripey, a little lab mix that has a stripe running up her head.
Then, there's Bacon the cockatiel, our son named her, he wants to name all the pets after some sort of food. The last pet that we have named is Fats Gecko, my wife named him that because he is the largest Leopard Gecko we both have ever seen.
We also have a Boa constrictor and a Red-Eared Slider turtle, both of which are nameless.

How rude. He's probably just trying to make himself feel better because he was turned down. It's like the fox who wanted the grapes, but when he couldn't get them he said "well they were probably sour anyway". I understand it's hard when you don't get to adopt the dog you wanted, but there is NO excuse for acting like that. When I was looking for a dachshund I originally found one at our humane society. I drove down there as soon as they opened so I could adopt him, but another family was already there and in the process of filling out adoption papers. I didn't say anything and just left; two days later I saw them walking him in the park. It hurt me a lot; I almost cried because I had wanted him so bad. But you know what? I didn't go chew them out or mention that I had wanted to adopt him but didn't get him. I went over and said how cute their dog was and asked if I could pat him, because I love dachshunds. We talked for a few minutes and they all looked so happy, and I was just happy he had found a great home, even if it wasn't with me. Everything worked out in the end because I found Toby, my new dachshund, soon after this happened. But both Toby and the dog I didn't get to adopt are wonderful, and I would never try to rub something in the faces of the people who gave the other dog a home. Everything happens for a reason! I just can't believe that guy was so snide about it. :( Just forget about him! Have fun with your dogs, they are cute!

I Have a Lhasa Apso called Poppy and a West Highland Terrier called Molly. I just liked the names at the time. I should have called Molly velcro as she is like my shadow. I read somewhere that there is a condition called 'velcro dog' where dogs hate to be seperated from their masters.

I have a Dalmatian/Lab mix, named Reno, cause I went to Reno, Nevada and won money to come home and buy her and all her stuff. I also have a German shepherd/Lab mix named Shiloh, cause we moved to a new house and that is the name of the park. I have a Greyhound/Chihuahua mix, named Dinky, cause she was so little when we got her. I plan on getting a Basset Hound that I am going to name Flash, becuase of the Dukes of Hazzard.

I have 2 dogs that I adopted from shelters.
1st is my 3 yr old, 1/2 bischon frise 1/2 shi-tzu named Lizzie. She was an abused pup so we didn't want to keep the name that the abusive family called her. We just started calling out names and Lizzie was the 1st one she answered to.
2nd is our 7 month old, scottie mix, named Brodie. We adopted him at about 6 weeks and he had no name. I wanted to name him a scottish name so I did some research and asked family and friends and my mother suggested Brodie. It fits him like a glove.

We have three:
Our male rescue Greyhound is Xander (after Alexander the Great)
Our female rescue Greyhound is Tasha (short for Natasha because she is dark and mysterious looking)
Our Female Weimaraner is Mina (short for Wilhelmina-very fitting to be named after Kaiser Wilhelm-she even thinks that she is a Kaiserina!)

Golden Retriever named Chipper. We named him this for several reasons. I used to have a dog named Skipper, my kids used to play with a dog named Chopper, we combined the names. Plus after one of the greatest baseball players in the majors, Chipper Jones.
