I just went through with this on my dog he was 8 yrs old and I have another Siberian Husky that is 11 yrs old startng with hip problems.

I personally would take it to the vet because my dog got really bad and I thought it was just arthitis kicking in and some pills would help, but come to find out he had arthirtis in the spine and he was in pain.
I did everything I could for him put him on pain meds and come to find out when they did xrays it was alot worse then they thought and the pain medicine wasnt even helping.
I had to end up putting him to sleep due to the pain he was in , well I had a choice of bringing him home and put him or moraphine but I refused to do that to my pet .
I do have my Husky on Glucosamine/Chondroitin one chewy tablet a day I got them at Walmart and its orange cream flavored so she thinksshe is eating candy you get 50 in a box for like 9 bucks or something like that and also Ol Roys has treats out that h as Glucosamine/Chondroitin in them made for hips and joints.

Im not saying your dog has what mine did but its better just to get some exrays done and see what kind of damage you are dealing with and if the dog is in pain from it. I have seen many owners just let their dogs walk around with arthritis when they have been pain

My girlfriend has an American bulldog and I think she's about 7 and has really bad hips. My friend gives her a children's aspirin and she says it really helps. The vet did tell her it was alright to give to her dog.

Bulldogs are notorious for hip problems, as well as skin and breathing problems. Has your dog been checked by a vet? If so, what exactly is wrong with it? If not, I'd schedule an appointment ASAP.

I have a Labrador with bad hips also. Try (hope I spell this right) Glucosamine & Chondroidin. It comes in powder form for animals. Humans take it in capsule form......

OK.......go to the vet and get an x-ray, and follow the advice you are given.
You can give Glucosamine/Chondroitin to dogs. It does help with the arthritis.
