Yes, it can. Most of the flea sprays and treatments you buy are unsafe to cats especially kittens and can even be toxic. My vet said they can even sometimes cause death. I would call your vet or a local vet and describe to them what happened. You may need to give the kittens a bath and get the flea spray off of them and make sure you keep them warm or the vet may recommend something else but please don't delay their life is in stake. Good luck.

Don't put flea spray on your kittens. There are very good drops that you place on the nap of their neck. The best thing is to defest your house and their surroundings. Kep them indoors.

Read the label before applying anything to a kitten. Would you spray poisons around a baby?!?!

Quickly wash them to try to get as much off as you can.................then GET THEM TO A VET!! Or just bring them right to them.

They need to know exactly what you put on the kittens.......perhaps just grab the bottle.

Hope everything goes well..............I had a bad situation 2 years ago with 2 kittens and it didn't end well for one of them........

Of course. It can kill them or damage them neurologically. Never spray anything on an animal! It goes in their lungs and yours too.
