Its raining outside right now, and there was this squirrel up in a tree waving his tail in the most psychedalic way. It was flowing in an "S" shape & I was wondering why squirrels do this.

I recently bought a house without a fence. It's in a quiet neighborhood, and it's a bit of a fixer-upper, and I just haven't gottne the fence up yet. Right now I don't have the money to either, because I don't want to put up a cheap one.

The problem is, my neighbors have a dog. Their dog and my dog get along great and play together, but their dog is not on a flea medication. Mine is, but I guess because of the other dog, she keeps getting fleas! So far I've started putting Frontline on her every 3 weeks, using capstars, bombed my house and yard, and she is still getting them, even though now I don't let her come in contact with the other dog.

Now my poor baby is starting to loose hair... I don't know if it's the chemicals or the fleas. Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with problem fleas?

P.S.: I've tried talking to the neighbors about keeping their dog out of our yard (b/c she also poos in our yard and it's big dog poop) but they're not listening.

What can be done when she gets in heat, we have locked her in a cage and that helps(dont worry she is still taken care of in the cage). She also meows loudly, like she is yelling. Does it hurt when they are in heat? anything will help, thank you.

Last night, our dog (female, 1/12 yrs, 50lbs - springer spaniel, border collie, pitbull?, maybe others) bit my wife on her arm. The bite did not hurt my wife or break skin (scared her a lot), but it was a deliberate bite. It occurred while the dog was on my wife's lap and she tried to move the dog to another part of the couch. My wife is ready to get rid of the dog because she feels no amount of biting of this sort is tolerable. I'm trying to figure out what is acceptable.

We've had the dog since she was 9 mos. At that age, she was very mouthy, but it subsided with 4 months of dog training and age. It does not occur too often, but the dog uses her mouth on people's hands occasionally. We're still trying to train her off that habit.

The only change recently is that our dog is now allowed on the couch and bed with us sometimes.

My wife doesn't trust information from websites and only trusts dog owners' real experiences.

What is normal? Has your dog ever bit? What did you do?

just wondering you see, as i have a theory......over the years, as evolution occured there were many different creatures being created through genetic mutation and the like.
I think that there wrer feathered creatures who kept having incestuous relations and so caused genetically deformed infants, who in turn had incestuous relations. This caused more and more deformed infants until one day, the egg hatched and the genetic mutant that popped out was, in fact, A CHICKEN!!!!!!

Is it possible for dogs to suffer from allergies? I have a 6-year-old Basset Hound who is miserable. His eyes are watery and they have a lot of "sleep" in them. I'm keeping them as clean as possible. He's never had this problem before. Also, I was wondering if it's safe to give him a small dose of Benadryl or whether I just need to make a vet appointment. He's eating and drinking good.
