I have three cats... more like kittens, acctually. Jin'do, Kitsa, and Bobo. They all like to hop this gate I have that is supposed to keep them in here, and also they like to take the 'leap of faith' off of the banister of my room. I live on the only room on the 2nd story of my house, and my father is allergic to cats. These guys are my companions, and if I can't keep them up here, my dad will get rid of them. :(

Can anyone help?

There is no real bedroom door. My room is rather open. Like... The banister I speak of is about 3 1/2 feet tall, and the gate is about 3 1/4 feet tall.

Keep raising the barrier. This may help. But I have sort of the same problem; keeping the 10 week old kitten out of..off of...out from underneath...and especially from trying to run out of the apartment, to explore, when I leave. So here's where the Spray Bottle Filled With Water comes in. The fine spray works well in tandem with a definitive "NO!".

Good Luck!

I think you should ask your dad to help you build a screen door... You yould basically need to make a wooden frame, get some mesh - plastic or wire - and staple it to the frame. Then you just need to put hinges on and hinge the sucker to your door frame. This will surely keep them in, but it's still a fairly open and free kinda thing - and shouldn't cost too much to put together!

Good luck!

Close the door. Keep some food in there and a cat box. But, keep the door closed.
