Is freeze dried bloodworms a good food for Betta fish and can I feed him daily ? I normally give him Bettamin flakes everyday, but now I started giving these bloodworms which he seems to like very much. I'm not sure how often and how many I can feed him since he is a very small 3 month old betta fish!

I have a mini poodle who is eight years old, What do you think his quality of life would be? I don't know if It's wrong to keep him alive he keeps running into everything. Is it wrong to get him put down just because he's blind? Is it torture for them to always be in the dark? I just don't know what to do, I want to do what is right for him.

I'm getting a 14-week old kitten named Kikio from the organization I volunteer at. I rescued her and she was put up for adoption before I realized, and my parents and brother, that we wanted her. So we're getting her today, but before we do, we need to go shopping for things she needs. I have basics: toys, litter, food. I dont know what else to get, or what brands. Help?

My vet told me six months, but in my research online and through calling other vets, I gather that under six months is best. Anyone have any input here?

We do our best to responsible pet-parents. We have two cats, both male. Buddy is about a year old and fixed – Max is still a kitten and has just reached 6 months, so his appointment is next week to get fixed himself. I know that kittens can get fixed younger now, but our vet still goes by the six month rule. Buddy is a dark grey and black striped short hair, and average size. Max is a Maine-Coon mix so he is about the same size as Buddy already. They are both sweet and cuddly; the most well behaved cats I’ve ever seen – until this morning. As I was getting ready for work I heard this horrendous howling, usually Buddy will yowl when he wants to get into a room, but this was different. I go out into the living room and there is a vicious standoff going on, and a bright orange cat standing on the back porch. Max was attacking Buddy, when Buddy has always been dominant. I figure that the orange cat was in heat and Buddy was not affected – he seemed to have no idea why he was being attacked. Now here’s the problem: how do we keep our home under control for the next week and a half? We live on the third floor and our kitties are strictly indoor only – so them going outside is not the issue. We just want to keep Max from attacking Buddy over a girl he can’t get to, and hopefully keep him from starting to “spray” as well. Max is locked in our bedroom at the moment, but it’s not really an option for more than a few hours, nor is keeping them separated for the week- there aren’t enough rooms. Please help!

I know she want to come out because she presses her head against the door and pushes digging at the ground. If she had roller skates on she'd be all over! What do I do? Is this a passing phase? I know it's intinctual to scratch and dig but will she always do this? Anything I can do to prevent it or calm her down? I'd take her out but at the beginning of day 3 with us she is telling us what to do and expects results. She want to be with us constantly, has little interest in playing or even eating unless I feed her by hand. She's adjusted well to her flock family, and loves my boys (ages 20 and 23). I don't want her to develop bad habits, this paper shredding is so far just a major annoyance.

I have a seven week old kitten that I got last week and I was promised that she is litter trained. Unfortunately though she knows how to use the litter to pee, she uses my bed to do a poop. I keep on every time she sleeps or eats or does anything put her in her litter box and scratch her paws along the bottom and cleaning her tray out daily. So now really need advise as to stop her doing this. Can anyone help?

Also, any ideas for cat tatoos? I want him to look cool with street cred.

We found him 3 weeks ago in a dogs mouth. He didn't have any injuries and he runs around freely doing his thing. He is about 4 inches across so I guess quite young. He has not eaten a thing nor drank even though it's readily available. We live in Turkey so the weather is still around 26-28 degrees during the day. He has a box filled with shredded paper to sleep in at night for warmth. We have tried cabbage, red and green pepper, grape leaves, lettuce (we know this has no goodness ect) cucumber, tomatoes, grapes, green beans ect but still he won't have a bite. We also give him a shallow plate of water every day but he still won't touch it. I have also tried standing him in a larger dish with about half an inch of water but all he wants to do is get out. He has passed stools and they look quite normal (no blood, slime ect).
We don't think he is ready for hibernation because he is so active during the day.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH THE WEE GUY ???

how often do they go in to heat? My friend has a female St. Bernard and he was just wondering, he doesn't want her to get pregnant because he is worried he won't be able to get rid of the pups especially if she winds up getting pregnant with a dog of another breed, anyways any help or info or input would be greatly appreciated

I recently moved from Fl to Nashville and left a cat with my neice. It is now time to get the cat from her. We have looked into airlines to transport the cat but since she is a snubbed nose cat(Himalayian) she cannot fly above 70 degrees. We all know how hot it can be in sunny south Fl. Is there any other options at this point for transporting?

You are walking down the road, on your merry way, and all of sudden, from out of nowhere, is a very big and mean looking dog sitting in the middle of the road. You stop dead in your tracks, and begin to be very afraid. This dog looks viscious. You have nothing to use as a weapon to defend yourself, and there is not anyone around anywhere. You are very careful to not make any sudden moves so as to not disturb him. How would you handle this? I honestly don' t know how I would handle this situation. Any advice?

sorry about that but i couldnt think of the right expression!
What i mean is, can they survive in a pond not maintained by humans, or do they need special type of care.?
Do you think they would not survive long because they are easily spotted by prey?

My dog has lots of "routines" that she does, ( she's a Black Lab mix, and I'm told they like to keep doing the same things over and over; it's true!) She plays little mind games with me, and every time I'm about to walk her, one of her little games or routines is to try to grab the leash from me, as if she's going to walk herself. She blocks my path every morning, on my way to the coffee pot, etc...I think that she's laughing at me, in her own sense of doggie humor. She grabs my pillow, when she knows I'm about to use it, and she jumps on the bed, playing with me, when I'm trying to make the bed! There's many more routines, too...
What routines or funny things does your dog do?
Aren't they adorable!!!
