I am certain that there are 2 types of eggs.. the fertile ones (the ones that hatch into chickens) and the non-fertile..(that we eat). Well I have a few friends here who, I am having trouble convincing. They are totally ignorant of this fact.. can anyone direct me to a site where this is clearly stated. Thanks..

Ya..my site..LOL no, I'm not sure of any sites other than an egg farm site like HICKMAN'S EGGS, here in Arizona but you can tell your friends that this red neck that lives in Arizona, used to raise leg Horne's and rode Island reds just for the eggs and you are right just two (1) Fertile and (2) non-fertile eggs and don't let your friends get confused with the twin yoke eggs that you crack in the skillet every now and then. They'll never grow into live chicks. To the best of my knowledge, there's never been two chicks come out of one egg. Now! I have seen a two headed calf in pictures and one in real life but I don't think any of them lived for more than a few hours. Hope this helps. :)

Eggs are eggs.
The ones we eat are unfertilized. No rooster does his thing.
The ones that hatch into chicks have been fertilized.
