My dog has lots of "routines" that she does, ( she's a Black Lab mix, and I'm told they like to keep doing the same things over and over; it's true!) She plays little mind games with me, and every time I'm about to walk her, one of her little games or routines is to try to grab the leash from me, as if she's going to walk herself. She blocks my path every morning, on my way to the coffee pot, etc...I think that she's laughing at me, in her own sense of doggie humor. She grabs my pillow, when she knows I'm about to use it, and she jumps on the bed, playing with me, when I'm trying to make the bed! There's many more routines, too...
What routines or funny things does your dog do?
Aren't they adorable!!!

My dogs have many silly routines. They crack me up all the time. I used to let them sleep with me and every morning when I would wake up and say "good morning", they would race to my face to see who could get the closest. My schnauzer usually straddles my neck but my lab is big enough to root him out of the way. When my lab got bigger, I made them start sleeping on the floor and every night before I go to sleep, she stands on the wood rails and tries to lay her head on my pillow...it is the cutest thing. I think she is hoping that I will give in and let her back in the bed.

Another thing she does is sneaks around the house like a cat. I have two cats also and she was about their size when I got her. She learned from watching them and she lowers her head to the ground and moves super slow around the house and then lounges at my other dog to play. It is really funny to watch.

If I come home and my schnauzer has done something wrong, he immediately stops dead in his tracks and looks in the opposite direction....as to say....who are you talking to? He will look back at me and if I am still starring at him he will look away again really fast. I know he is thinking...man I wish she would stop looking at me.

I love all of their silly quirks. They make my day.... everyday.

Funny things about our dogs is they think they're joined at the hips. They're never away from each other long.
Clohe likes to sleep between the headboard of the bed and the wall. There's a space about a foot and a half wide since we have a water bed, and this is her favorite place. She's sleeping there and the other one, Brandy, starts hunting the house for her. Goes from one door to the other and back again. Goes into the extra bedroom and sniffs in there, stops at the kitchen and the living room and sniffs everything in those rooms. And if she doesn't find Clohe, she starts all over again. She usually doesn't find her until the third or forth try then as she's walking down the hall she'll spot her between the bed and wall... hiding. You'd think after a few times of this, Brandy would figure out where Clohe was at, but so far she hasn't.
They also like to fight over which one is going to eat the bugs outside first. One will catch it, play with awhile, then the other one runs in, grabs it and plays with it awhile then the first one takes it back and they repeat the process until one or the other gets board and ends up eating the poor thing. And I've seen that last for half an hour.

I have a dog named Hedi and she has the most unusal eyes, they are golden color. But she is very playful, very!!! She knows when it is time for my kids to get off the bus and she will go down to meet them and walk back to the house with them. She also knows after they do homework they go outside to play football and she gets to play also(she will tackle them before they can make a touch down),but what is neat she don't get real rough.

My dog is "jealous" of my husband and I. She is a 4 year old pit bull and every time we are sitting togethetr on the couch or come up to each other to kiss, she jumps in the middle of us, and we usually cater to her, but its so sweet.

When my dog wants a treat, she circles her fat self around while chomping her teeth together. She does this when you say 'speak', also - never barks, just chomps her teeth together (well, she barks, but not when wanting a treat or when you say speak).

She will be 16 in January - old lady!

my dog will randomly roll over on his back and start yelping and pumping his back legs. or whenever we put a flea collar on him, he starts running around the house with his head on the ground! i'm not sure why he does this but it's so funny and cute.

My friends canines has this habit of pushing his toys decrease than wood chair (like at a eating room table) and then as a replace of certainly bending all the way down to get them himself, barking at us to get them as a replace. ultimately as quickly as we do, we are going to play a sprint fetch untill he gets bored back and pushes it back decrease than the hair along with his nostril. i admire him!!!

when my dog eats he bows his head to the floor three times and rubs his nose to the food dish. We call it his "Praise Allah" routine. ( no offense intended). Its like he is saying grace.
