The fish is a glassfish; he's young and probably male. He suddenly became rather lethargic today - first he had spurts of activity in the morning (loop-the-loops and spins and bursts of speed), but for the past hour or so he has been periodically laying on the bottom of the tank. :'(

me and my husband have a 1/2 husky 1/2 malamute puppy that was born july 19th so almost 3 months old. I don't know if she's nipping or biting. what's the difference? We also have a 9 month old baby and I'm scared she might nip at her! I'm going to be taking lucky (the doggie) to puppy kindergarden, but I also heard husky's are the #1 dog returned and found in shelters because they are so hard to trian. Should I try to train her or give her to someone b4 I get even more attached?

First off, I understand "leave him behind" has very negative connotations, but some background is in order. I simply want what's in his best interests, not mine, and in this case it's unclear to me. I recently moved to Europe and, although my apartment is large, it's in a rather urban environment, which is quite different from where the dog was living with me in the US (I lived in a heavily wooded area, several acres of property, and zero traffic). He's a happy-go-lucky, young black lab, and is currently staying at my father's large farm in the US. My father has another dog, several cats, horses, ponds, and all the other trappings of that type of life. But here's the catch. Although the environment is better there for him than it would be here, and my father is very good to his animals, he keeps his dogs outside in a kennel and so the dog does not get as much special attention as he would from me. That said, he seems happy there, but of course he always seems happy! Thoughts, advice?

I have two bigger sized terriers. A soft coated wheaten and an Irish terrier (a rare terrier that is similar to an Airedale). They are extremely well behaved dogs. Smart and good sense of humor. I keep telling my mother that terriers are not retrievers. They are ground hunters and look for rodents in the ground. Also they try to get snakes out of the ground. I wish they wouldn't try to get snakes because we live in Florida and they might dig up a coral snake. Extremely poisonous. You would think that after 7 years my mother would figure out that terriers don't retrieve. In fact, they go after something (a plush toy or a ball) and play keep away with you. Like it is a game. A very funny game I might add.

I was wanting to know which type yoou prefer better Paint horse or Quarter horses. I prefer Paint horses because you can do everything with them that you can do with a Quarter horse and as an added bonus no two are exactly alike in color or pattern

I have them in one side of my yard so they can play, but I want them to use the full yard. Problem is it has grass and I don't want it to turn out the way there yard is now. It has huge holes and you can see roots from trees and she even pulls some of the roots out. What can I do. I want to enjoy the yard too.

Now, before anybody says anything mean or rude, I love my cats as if they were my children. They have the best of care, and always stay indoors. I have two cats, and there's no chance of them getting outside, as I live in a 3rd story apartment, so if they ran out the front door they'd be stuck in the little hallway and I could easily catch them. They're both already declawed in the front, but they're still scratching the furniture, mostly the tabletops, when they run! Has anyone else had their cats back claws removed? If so, what was your experience like? I don't really want to put them through surgery again, but getting rid of them is not an option, and neither is getting my expensive furniture scratched!

He is a 7 pound Yorkie, there are no cuts in his mouth, and I dont think he swallowed any. But what if he did? Would that kill him? Also, would chewing on staples kill him (lead poisoning)?
