I was just wondering at what age do most dogs become real protective of their owner, like in the sense that she would fight someone if she thought you were in danger. I have a 10 month old female pit and i was just wondering. I've never had a case were I need "protecting" I was just wondering if its a natural thing. I know she loves me cause she only listens to me and I must admit I treat her like a baby.

On his chest, right between his front legs. He loves his belly rubbed but only tolerates a brushing for a little while. I don't want to hurt him or make him angry.

I have a horse that we keep in the pasture and I have been feeding it omlets and burritos for quite a while now. But he now has diarrhea and nose bleeds. I tried adding some variety to his diet such as McDonalds and subway to make his like Jared as he is getting fat. Do horses normally throw up? He will gorge himself on 3 big mac meals and 4 12" meatball subs and them step back and chuck it all it up and have bowel movements. Am i overfeeding him?

We have a 5-6 month old kitten and my husband is planning to get another puppy of a small breed like pomerinian so that "our kitty will have playmate". We also have a medium sized puppy but he's outdoors. Our kitty is soo spoiled and Im worried that he'll be jealous and fight with the little puppy. I want to know if in the long run, the puppy and kitty will be fine together, considering they have the same size. (Btw, our kitty is okay with the bigger dog.)

I was wondering if any one had ever had experience with a drug addicted dog? I have a dachsund that will do anything to get to the mushrooms in a cow pasture. We've recently moved away from the cows and it seems as though this little guy is going through withdrawal!

LMFAO!!! It was really funny at first, like he was fighting with himself! I told him to stop, he listened, but then started doing it again 2hrs later. My original vet retired. I took him to a new vet and they checked out his paw and claimed there was nothing wrong. I don't trust them. This can't be normal. Has this happen to anyone b4? Should I get a 2nd opinion from another vet?

Is it easier to teach a dressage horse to jump or is it easier to teach an intermediate jumper dressage? Seems like if you have a good dressage horse, it would be easy to turn it into a decent jumper--some have even described jumping as "dressage over obstacles". What do you think??

I was washing my dog, and I noticed his nail was tearing. I clip his nails every two to three weeks, but this was a tear on the side of his nail. Do they have such thing as doggie nail filers?
