How do I get rid of my dogs?

I have to dogs that I really love but I don't want to take it to the pound or put it in the new paper because the mite end up with a bad owner.

If you love them why don't you want to keep them?
Putting them in the paper allows you to meet the prospective buyers. Taking them to the pound is just wrong

Why do you want to get rid of them? I think it is kind of sad when owners get pets and can't take care of them any longer. It isn't fair to the animal. But I know situations arise where you can't have the animal. Have you ever considered giving it to family or friends? I think that is the only way you'll know that it won't be treated badly. If you do give it to the pound, it has a large chance of being put down because adopting out dogs is very difficult. That is something to really think about when giving away this animal. If you give it to someone else, will they just give it to the pound, where it will die?

Well why would you want to get rid of your dogs if they are healthy and have no problems i have a siberian husky in cape town south africa cause i came to the uk for 2 years and he stays with someone that takes good care of him and he runs in sledding competitions and and i pay her monthly to look after him so i couldnt have the heart to give him away for anything or put him down..

I would suggest sending your dog to a shelter or pound or ask a family member if they would like to keep it i really dont know your circumstances that you are in but i dont think anyone could have the heart to say how can they get rid of your dogs thats cruel..

But i beleive that there are kind people out there that have hearts so either send it to a shelter that will find a loving home for it but dont put your dogs down..

Why are you getting rid of them? Well, the best thing to do is sponser an ad for them somewhere, meet the owner, and maybe even check up on your dogs after the first year the owner has them. You should visit unexpectedly to make sure.

If you don't want the pound, or the paper the only other thing is to dump them on the side of the road, which I hope you won't even consider.
Go through your local phone book (or try yellowpages.com) and see if there's a no kill shelter near you.
I doubt if they'll get placed within a bad home if you go through the humane society or an animal protection shelter, you wouldn't believe what they put my husband through just for him to take in the two beagles we have.

Ask through friends or co-workers in your area if they know someone who wants a dog and can provide a good home for them. My ex. adopted a little kitten for a few months but had to leave off to college and wound up finding an excellent home for her through a friend of a friend :)

why do people get pets and then give them up? this is so sad, unless you have a horrible situation like you're homeless now or something keep them, and take good care of them. or find someone else who can give them a loving home, don't give them to the pound, give them to a no kill shelter if you can.

How can you get rid of your dogs? When you get a dog or any pet for that matter, you need to make it your responsibility to take care of it, not just get rid of it when you get tired of it. There is no reason to get rid of your dog unless it is vicious.
