ive got a 6 year old yorkshire terrier who we rescued over a year ago and in the morning after her walk she goes and sits looking up at the front door for a hour or so!....dont have a clue why but maybe it could have something to do with her past....something i will never know as she was rescued and no one knows a thing about her background as she was picked up on th streets roaming!

I have an 11 year old golden retriever who thinks all windows were made for dogs to look out of, no matter how many walks you take her for each day she sits looking out the window like the noseyest neighbour on the block, she is so daft she even tries catching bees and wasps through the window, she rests her chin on the window sill at times and falls asleep there, are dogs daft or what.

Well i have a siberian husky and he is all day outside they have short attention spans so i couldnt see him sitting indoors all day looking out of a window..

Although your dog is 4 years old i wouldnt think he is old cause he isnt my mom has a maltese and she is 8 already and she loves to be inside too she loves being on the bed and sleeping so i think every dog is different and maybe your dog loves sitting and looking outside through the window, as long as he is not sick and moans to go out i dont see anything wrong..

No, but my bird does, take the poor dog out. Maybe he wants to be in the sunshine. My little dog will act like she is needing to go out to do her business and will lay down on the porch so we sit out there for awhile. She loves the sunshine on her. My windows are too high for the dog or she would do the same.

I have Taz a female Giant Schnauzer sits on the chair looking out and barks at all who pass - She is 12. Our 17 month old Giant Schnauzer Dog joins in but never barks at someone passing. Instead he barks at NOTHING... Maybe a ghost... but he gets so agitated sometimes and when I look there is nothing - not even a bird. And it is so weird his bark. Really low... Spooky. Maybe it is the trees in the wind - I don't know?

My dog has a bed in the bay window. She looks some and then sleeps some. Usually when she sleeps, she moves to a blanket on the safa, but if it's about time for me or my wife to come home from work, she will stay in her window bed.

I have one that looks out the window while the others run into the backyard through the doggie door. That one dog is a little "off" mentally though.

YOU BET!!! I have an 8 year old Lab whose favorite place is laying by the window, with her head on the window sill staring outside. It doesn't matter if we just came back from a 3 mile hike!!! She just likes being able to see what is going on in HER yard

YES! I have 2 dogs that do that, I beleive they are watching out for other animals and just like the view, My older dog sits on the back of the sofa near the window so he is comfy.. all my neighbors crack up. it's the cutest thing.

I have a mini dachshund and he likes to look out the window too. I don't always have the curtian open becuase he likes to bark at everything that goes by and the squirrels. He doesn't always look out the window when the curtian is open. He likes to play fetch ball too.
