Well what i did with my pup is once he done his business i took him to where he did it and show him what he did and tap lightly on his nose and say NO then everytime he does it do this and take him straight outside and dont forget to clean where he made his mess thoroughly cause they smell where they last did there business and you wouldnt want that..

But pups do normally get the picture when they do there mess but you should of started doing something about it long time ago i hope he hasnt got into the routine of doing it in the house cause then that could be a problem since he is 4months already hope this helps.

I agree with cheer8ko's answer. Your puppy is still very young so it's highly trainable. You see it's a natural instinct for dog's to not go to the bathroom in their own territory. So the trick is to get your dog to think the whole house is his property. Crate training helps tremendously because it teaches your puppy to hold it until he can go outside and also have a safe place to go when you're not around. Always praise and reward your puppy when he does go outside so he knows, what he is doing is right. I used to feel crate training was cruel, like putting them in jail. I learned that dogs are den animals and feel comfortable to be in their "own" little space. Remeber to let him out often, puppies have weak bladders so don't make him hold it for too long!

he's young and doesn't know any better. try crate training him. reward him when he does go outside. also try taking him out after he eats that way he has the oppertunity to go outside. also potty pads help. put them in his favorite places to go around the house so that he'll go on those instead of the floor. It will take some time. not all dogs learn right away. also whatever you do don't rub his face in it. he doesn't know any better.

I agree with the crate training noted above. It is the only way to go. My black lab is 12 weeks old and she is completely potty trained. It has been really easy.

The biting is a different story though.

Each time it does that you take let`s say a paper, roll it and slap it on the but (I mean gently, just to show him that what it does is wrong), don`t slap it with your hand, use your hand only to feed it and hug it. Do the paper thing each time it goes on the floor. It should learn in time.
When are you starting to take it out for a walk, by the way?

rub his nose in it,scream NO NO NO at him and whip his but with a belt (not your hand or a rolled up newspaper these transmit all the force of the blow to the dogs body) and put him outside.

conversely, when he does his business outside tell him hes a good boy and give him a treat
