I love my miniature schnauzer Cody but I don't think I spend enough time with him because I have a lot of work to do. Now, this is the weekend and i've got pretty much all the BIG stuff done. What games can I play with my dog at home that is fun?

I love playing hide and seek. They put the nose to the ground and come find you. :)

You should teach him a trick. It is easy if you are dedicated to repeating it until he get it. Have a treat ready, a small one and something he likes - small piece of cheese or something. If you want him to sit, for example, you will have to get his attention by saying his name and when he is looking at you then you say "sit" in a commanding voice and while you are saying it hold his collar and push his but down. Then say good dog and give him the treat. Do this a few times and he will learn to sit even without pushing his but down. I find that it is possible to teach your dog sign language at the same time. You can make up signals, point to the ground for sit, and use the signals when you say the command and soon enough you should be able to get your dog's attention, point to the ground, and he will sit. This technique works for any trick you can imagine. I find this is an excellent way to spend time with you pet, it is very interactive and dogs love to learn. Plus it will help with obedience.

What sort of things does your doggie like to do? My doggie loves to go outside and play a good game of frisbee so what's something I might do with him.

Is there a local dog park? Cody might enjoy playing with other dogs. Maybe Cody likes to check out new places and you could take him on a walk. You could also try teaching him a new trick.

I have a siberian husky and they get pretty much bored very quickly they cant be left alone at all cause then the house is his playground not a good idea..

I would suggest tacking your pup out for classes to become socialised with other animals thats good to do cause once he gets older you want him to not become violent towards people and animals that he doesnt know, also take him to the park and more walks so that he can get to know you much better.

My dog loves toys and to pull things and he loves sledding so thats great keeps him busy, so try something different and you never know hay..

just start playing with him... he'll come up with ideas also.. get some snacky treats and some movies... for the both of you and sit back on the soft couch and pet him while you feed him and yourself before a movie.. then later take him out for walkies to some nice places have him sniff around meet other doggies who are walking around and have him mark his territory and do some light jogging.. have a great time!

Well, you can get toys to play tug of war, chase or fetch.
Also if you like to excercise, running would be great for you and Cody.

i would take her out for the day....to the park or just for a walk...also try to teach her to play ball....you throw it and have her go get it....teach her little tricks that you can show your friends later....i love watching what other people can do with their pet...if there is a zoo around you could take her there if they allow pets....but why wouldn't they.....that would be neat to see her reaction to other real animalss...

Work on training. Most dogs love it and positive training is great bonding. Check out the link.
