Rabbits grunt either out of annoyance or because they are excited and feeling playful. Look for other clues such as your bunny's body language to determine why yours might be grunting.

He's talking to you, it's a rabbit thing, he's telling you that he's a bit unhappy. Get him a playmate (of the same sex if you don't want to end up running a rabbit farm LOL) he will cheer up then. Let him out onto some grass in an enclosed pen and play with him. Hope this helps Ü
