Once the female is out of heat the mating will stop. There is no harm in them locking up several times. Try keeping them seperate so both can rest and have plenty of food and water.

I prefer to only allow my dogs one mating when I breed them. The reason being is that if you let too many days go in between matings you risk the chance of having premature pups born in the litter (runts). If some of the females eggs get fertalized by the sperm from the 1st mating, then some get fertalized a couple days later by sperm from the 2nd mating, then the these pups will be born a couple days early and will be smaller than the ones from the 1st mating (a couple days makes a big difference). Letting your dog mate more than once during her heat does not increase the chance that your dog will have a larger litter. The females body regulates the size of the litter. My female Shih-tzu had 6 pups her 1st litter with only one mating (they were all born big, healthy and the same size).

Yes, I fear that only allowing them to 'lock' twice in 3 days may make her very frustrated and upset with you for keeping her and her friend from doing a lot more 'locking'. She may blame you and turn against you entirely. I think you should let her 'lock' a great deal more often whilst she has the opportunity or she may sieze the opportunity to leave home and become promiscuous.

Don't worry at all about the unborn litter because they will currently be a litter of dots the size of a full stop and any 'locking' will simply result in them being moved around a bit but will not cause any punctures inflicted by the locking object.

You should only let them mate twice, two days apart.

WHY!! Because the B will whelp when the first lot of pups are due.
The pups skeleton and other vital organs are the last to develop in pregnancy, the final 1 - 2 weeks. If the matings are too far apart the pups may not have the time to develop properly.

That is if you mate and keep mating over a whole week, which is possible, you will have runts in the litter and other health probs when the pups are born.

First you said your were going to breed your dog, and then you asked if the current mating sessions could "harm [the] unborn litter". Is your dog already pregnant?

Continued mating won't hurt the mom or her unborn pups; it's not unusual for females in heat to mate several times with several different males.

But if you don't want the dogs mating, just keep them separated.

Are they both show quality dogs with titles? If not, then why are you adding to the unwanted pet population? Just because they're purebred does not mean they should reproduce.
