My boyfriend is an architect and he works at home. When he spreads out his plans (blueprint size) my cat sits on top of them and starts ripping them up with his mouth. I have never had a cat do this before. Its like the old saying for kids " The dog ate my homework". Well, my cat at your architect plans, sorry, I will have them to you soon I promise. I need more time. Does any one else have plan and paper eating cats?

The neighbors have a invisible fence which does not always function, allowing the dogs to run into the road. The dogs now seem to consider the road to be part of thier territory. and try to prevent people from walking past the house. Going past the dogs is the only way out. they don't seen to bother cars as much as people on foot. I don't want to give my neighbors a hard time, but I want to go out for walks without these dogs running at me with snapping teeth. I've tried cat food. My husband has tried hands on hips and "Go HOME" which just makes the dogs more agressive . The neighbors are often not home. I occasionally tell them about the dogs' behavior. the nighbors are very nice and appologise and say that the batteries must have been low. I'm considering avoiding trouble by driving my car past the dogs, parking the car on the other side of the dogs' self proclaimed territory, and then going for a walk....but I don't like that idea. What are your ideas?

I wonder what they dream about.. Why do they twitch their whiskers, paws and such a lot? It's cute.. But I hope they're not having nightmares.

I moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1986 and that same summer I found a cat. I took her to the vet and he said she was aproximatley 4. One month ago she had to be put to sleep. That made her 24. She was a great cat for all these years. Just wanted to know if anyone one else had a cat this long.

My rott was spaid on Thursday. I brought her home yesterday. Her stiches are open. Yesterday, I had to take her back to the vet imediatly because she was bleeding out of her soochers. They wrapped her up with some gause and bandages. By this morning she had it off. She has been bleeding out of her wound for about four hours. I have her taped up with steral gause and bandaids to hold the incision together. She hasn't lost so much blood that i am worried about that i just need to get it to stop bleeding. I don't know what else to do. I am trying to get her to lay still but she isn't tierd she has been sleeping for the past few days and just wants to walk around and play. What can I do?

Took her to the vet, they washed her with soap. Nothing. Rubbed her with vegetable oil, butter, even WD40. She's looking a little better now, but the tail is a mess and she feels miserable. I need serious ideas!
By the way, I got rid of all the glue traps except this one I couldn't find, because I felt they were a cruel means of dealing with rats. Never again!

I have 20 gallon tank,it is inhabited by following members:
An Oscar 3"
2 Firemouths 1.5"
6 Morphs(African lake Malavi cichlids; lemon drop;albino;blue striped)
1"
Everytime the oscar is having a fight with the african cichlids which are sometime trying to bite its tail( till now not being successful in doing so), but r disturbing the oscar a lot, and sometimes the whole pack(morphs) is trying to do so.It mostly happens during the feeding time.
Ocasionally a short fight with the firemouth is also witnessed.
Though they r not hurting each other, but it seems to be a nuisance. So what could be the reason & proper solution to that?

An acquaintance needs to adopt out two family cats. They are older and one has health problems. Another is shy. They are indoor cats, I assume spayed / neutered and up on their vaccinations.

None of her friends can take them. Sadly, if she cannot find a better way she will take them to the shelter, which means they will be put to sleep because they are not in demand for adoption.

There aren't any no-kill shelters available.

Are there any alternatives? Is there any hope of adoption, any place or method that is more likely?

Are there any rescue agencies where she can leave a donation in exchange for caring for them?
