My boyfriend is an architect and he works at home. When he spreads out his plans (blueprint size) my cat sits on top of them and starts ripping them up with his mouth. I have never had a cat do this before. Its like the old saying for kids " The dog ate my homework". Well, my cat at your architect plans, sorry, I will have them to you soon I promise. I need more time. Does any one else have plan eating cat's?

Cats are pretty smart. It probably just doesn't like your boyfriend.

Well I know this is the cat board, but I have a dog who eats paper too, nothing has happened to her, although of course I always try to prevent this from happening. So you should tell you b/f to put the plans where the cat can't reach them, or close the door so the cat doesn't get inside the room where he's working.

Not plans, but paper. I think your b/f should put the plans up when he is not using them! I dont think it's good for your cat to be eating that paper. Are the plans in a room where your b/f can close the door??

I really don't think that you are paying enough attention to your cat, or maybe he hates your man , but sometimes cats just want to play, and paper is so interesting to him, my baby cat he liked my throw rug I mean he has pulled it apart , and well I guess he
hated it and did me a favor and pulled it apart it must of been an eye sore ,,,,

We used to have the FATTEST cat, named Zoe.

When I was like, 12, I would slip my dinner veges under the table (brocoli, brussel sprouts, carrots, beans, etc.) and the cat would eat ALL of them... when we didn't give her scraps, she'd bite our toes from underneath the table.

That cat would eat anything.

Don't feel bad... my cat eats plastic bags. She rip them into pcs and chew on them. I'd just get a water bottle and spray her with it and she runs off. Maybe you can try that? It work for me.
