I moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1986 and that same summer I found a cat. I took her to the vet and he said she was aproximatley 4. One month ago she had to be put to sleep. That made her 24. She was a great cat for all these years. Just wanted to know if anyone one else had a cat this long.

my first set of cats lived to be 16, 21 and 23. The oldest cat I have now is 17, the other two are 7 and 8 yrs. old. I am very sorry for your loss, know that you gave your kitty a long and wonderful life.

Yes I had a good old girl for 26 years and she was healthy and happy up until the last 24 Hours. The vet was willing to try and save her but her eyes said she was ready for a new adventure so our vet gently let her rest. Her kidneys had failed. I miss her still Sept 78 - April 04

My cat is 6 but he scraps like he's 3 so i guess it could happen if you took good care of him. Either way the cat made it to at least 21... that's old for an animal

My sister had a cat that was 22 when she died. I have one now who is 15 but has no health problems, still plays and seems to be doing very well. Sounds to me like you're a good cat owner and your cat lived a long and healthy life. Good job!

My cat did not live that long. She only lived to be 12. She had diabetes and it could not be properly managed. I was very sad for a long time.; She was such a great cat. I miss her very much.
