If its nose is pink, that's okay. Sticking him in the hot sun will not change the pigment of his nose. In fact, a dog with a red/pink/light-colored nose can get sunburned. And yes, they can get skin cancer. In fact, they make sunscreen for dogs. It might sound silly but it's a great idea for a dog who spends a lot of time in the sun.

no this usually happens during the winter to a lot of dogs. It's just the pigment in his nose has faded or gone away. Most times it comes back during the summer or if he is old usually stays a faded pink color.
