When she showed up on my door at midnight, she was big and had hard lumps and I thought she was pregnant. Now she is eating and thinner, but still sometimes I think I feel lumps, like kittens. This cat is only about 10 months old I would think. How to know if she is pregnant?

I picked up a stray and have had her for 2 days. No-one has claimed her and i think she may be pregnant. She is so affectionate and calm and tame. We decided to keep her and now she wants outside. Will she come back if we let her? Is it mean to keep her in when she wants out?

I personally do not like to see some poor dog or cat dressed up in costumes. The animals always look pittiful to me... "Like somebody help me.... please" Animals don't need clothes so why put them on them. Its just not right!

I am a trained Biologist with no children. I was thinking of adopting a wolf/german shepard hybrid. I can train, exercise, and cognitively give the bog what it needs, still, is it a good idea?

okay, i have a smart dog who can get past his electric fence (the old wear down the batteries trick) I don't want to trap him inside or chain him up because that would be mean. anyway I need to know a good fence brand for a large dog, prices and where I can get one.

I am NOT a cat person, nor particularly interested in exotic pets. I would prefer a dog with a short hypoallergenic-type hair (though NOT necessarily a poodle) that does not shed much and can be kept clean with minimum daily care and occasional visits to the doggy beauty salon (lol). Also preferably one with a great temper, limited bread health problems, and minimal outdoor activity needs. In other words, I want the perfect dog bread for an apartment environment. Any good suggestions? Thank You!

P.S. Which would be cleaner and easier to handler - a male or a female dog and do you recommend having it fixed or neutered at some point? Thanks

I have a 2 year old Boxer who is now becoming more aggressive my my 2 and half year old Husky. They are both fixed, and very loving pets. However the past 6 months my Boxer has been asserting himself as more dominant that her, and she will not tolerate it. I figured I'd let them figure it out on their own, but there is no resolution to this. He never instigates the fights, usually she will become aggressive with him and then its on, and he always kicks her butt, but she never submitts to him. The last fight they had I had to pull him off her, he had choked her out where she had blood comming out of her nose. I will not get rid of them, they are my babies, and have never been aggressive with me or my child, they both know where there status is when it comes to me and my family, but they seem to really be decking it out when it comes down to them. It is not food aggression, or toy possesion, my 60lb boxer will be walking by her, and my 45 lb husky will lash out at him. PLS Help?

Whenever I park on my side street, which is lined with trees, my car gets bombarded with bird poop!! Funny thing is, it's only MY car. I have the only black car on that street. Wondering if birds are attracted to the dark color?

My 16yr old Tom cat has been on lactuose for almost 2yrs now as he gets very constipated. But recently his medication is failing him. He has cost an absolute fortune as he has a few more medical problems. I would like to ask if anyone has ever given their cat any other constipation remedy, eg milk of magnesia? on the advice of their vet only. He has had badly congested bowels twice in the past and it costs almost £100 a time to have the vet knock him out and relieve him. Please help. If I don't find some other form of medication. I know by the end of the week, he will have to have another vet visit.

Hi, my friend has a border collied (now 7 months old) for as long as they've had him he chases his tail non stop, he goes to two places in the house and just continuously spins, this can also be set off by excitement or even simple sounds such as sniffing or the clasp on a bracelet. Does anyone else have a problem similar to this with this breed of dog. He seems to ignore everyone and everything around him just to do this and no amount of shouting stops him. I know this breed generally are difficult pets because of their energy and need for stimulation, but he is walked regularly and never seems to tire. It makes us all dizzy. HELP!!

where they sleep. the thing is i have a baby gate to keep them for getting in the rest of the house at night, but lately they have found flipping the gate and slightly opening it and getting thu and when i wake uop in the morning they are in the front of the bedroom door straching to get it. my question, besides a baby gate, what else can I try to place on this doorway to prevent them from wonering around the house? please advise and thank you.

by the way they are not puppies dogs, the female is 10 and the male 5, so it is not a puppy thing.

I am the only child at my home, and I have 3 younger siblings, but they unfortantly don't live with me. My mother does not approve of pets, but I really want a pet. I don't want a dog, I just want a hamster that is small and easy to take care of. I keep telling her that if I don't have a pet that I will grow up lonely. Plus all my friends either have pets or siblings in their house. Can you tell me what you think about me getting a hamster.

Hi!

I'm a new owner of a cute 3 month old black lab/blue tick hound puppy... a wonderful gift from my husband. I have never owned a dog before, so need advice. Here is my concern:

When I take my puppy out to go potty, he has a routine. He does his business, rolls around in the grass or dirt, then finds a stick to chew on. Big stick, small stick... any stick, puppy isn't picky.

I have been taking the sticks away from him because I'm afraid he will choke on it. I try to give him his chew toys, but Drew (my puppy) doesn't want the toy, he rather have a stick. I was really worried about the stick thing, so my husband went out yesterday and tried to remove all the fallen sticks/branches/twigs from the yard. But still, Drew always manages to find one that we missed (we have a ton of trees on our property, so it's not hard).

What should I do? Should I keep taking the sticks away from him? Or should I let him chew to his heart's content?

Thanks...
T.

She has rubbed her head on other dead animals such as frogs, worms, lizards, & birds. Also in rotten food and spots on the ground with a foul scent.
