okay, i have a smart dog who can get past his electric fence (the old wear down the batteries trick) I don't want to trap him inside or chain him up because that would be mean. anyway I need to know a good fence brand for a large dog, prices and where I can get one.

A tall (6ft) chain link fence will keep almost any breed of dog contained. Another option would be a wooden privacy fence, but I personally would not recommend it. I have one bordering the back of my yard and my bullmastiff has already chewed off 2 of the boards. They cannot see thru them because they are placed so close together and I think this aggravates him. Anyway, the other sides to my yard have chain link, and he cannot get out or over this type of fencing.

I would just go get a chain link fence. I find that is the safest the dogs can out smart those electric fences too esaly. All they have to do is run real fast and they never even feel any thing.
