what can i expect, energy level wise? i've had a belgium shepard, very calm, and a springer spaniel, nonstop crazieness from day one. i've heard they are very smart, but are they a little ball of energy? anyone have any good tips for them? or for puppies in general that they discovered over the years? thanks!!

aussy sheaperds are very energetic i own one and 2 border collies there all energetic so you have to have at least 1.5 aceres or a near by park but run them every night or your going to be up till 2 am. always make sure he has water. some aussie are very controlling so train him not to be controlling with his food or toys.

Austrailian shepards are definatly full of energy. They are herding dogs, and should have a job to do on a daily basis or they will get bored and start wrecking things. First of all, you need to teach him the basic commands, sit stay etc. He needs lots of training and daily excersise if you want to keep him occupied. The idea is to get him so tired during the day that he wont have the energy to do anything destructive. He needs to be stimulated mentally and physically.
