where they sleep. the thing is i have a baby gate to keep them for getting in the rest of the house at night, but lately they have found flipping the gate and slightly opening it and getting thu and when i wake uop in the morning they are in the front of the bedroom door straching to get it. my question, besides a baby gate, what else can I try to place on this doorway to prevent them from wonering around the house? please advise and thank you.
by the way they are not puppies dogs, the female is 10 and the male 5, so it is not a puppy thing.

Thats the same with my dogs love the kitchen we have baby gates they climb over them and open them with there paws lol what you can do is get some play pens and put the pen around the gate lol hope this helps.

Go 2 Home Depot and get a wooden gate slide door... My friend uses it all the time its really tall and theres a latch 2 open it so it would be hard for and animal to open.

It sounds like you need a bigger gate, there are ways to make it more difficult to use them
Try asking at a dog forum, like http://www.dogforum.org The people there will actually want to help, unlike many of the people here on yahoo.

is it a wooden gate? if so maybe try the hard plastic ones. maybe you could put them in the basement. put a gate at that entrance and then another by the kitchen door.

sounds like you need a new gate. They are probably loving a cool floor in the kitchen.

Sounds like you are going to need to get a bigger gate. Look on petsmart.com for all different sizes and styles.

Dogs are smart. They will keep getting out.The only surefire way to keep them in one part of the house is to out them in a room that you can shut the door. I crate my dogs at night. This also works as well.

get a old poster board from like a store, i have two which prevent my dogs from going up the steps.
