Whenever I park on my side street, which is lined with trees, my car gets bombarded with bird poop!! Funny thing is, it's only MY car. I have the only black car on that street. Wondering if birds are attracted to the dark color?

It is my understanding that birds don't have to push to poop, it's involuntary, as to always keep the weight the bird is carrying to a minimum. That would explain why I've seen bird nests and bird houses with poop in them - it's not that they don't care about fouling up their food or nesting area, they just don't control it.

You probably are parked right by a nesting tree, or one with a good food source.

Maybe your car is the only clean one on the street too!!

well it could just be a cowincidene or it could be that the birds favor a certain color...because they ar not colorblind. what i wold do in this situation is put a piece of paper the same color of the favoritised car and place it in the tree or on the other cars just to see if it is accually not a cowincidence..hope this helps

It seems that way, doesn't it. However, my husband's vehicle is black and mine is a metallic blue and mine gets hit way more than his does. Maybe it is because I wash mine more often and they are attracted to the shine.
