i recently adopted a 4 year old chocolate doberman he is very sweet gentle, but he has one bad habit everytime he has to go he digs and i m a bit scared he will ruin my garden, and he doesnt seem to take no for an answer :) a bit stubborn.... what can i do?

I am planning on getting a Shih Tzu. I was wondering how much they shed, how much they bark, general health problems, do they get along with cats, are they lap dogs, etc.

I really like ferrets but I already have a cat and two dogs. My parents think that they smell and are gross. (Expecially my dad.) I want to convince them that we could fix up a room in the garage for them so that they wouldn't stink up the house. Help please. AND NO STUPID ANSWERS! Once my pup's recall command is reliable I'd really like to take her to one. Are there a lot of dog fights (hopefully not)? What if her desire to go play and see other dogs overwhelmes her obedience training? I've never been to one so please fill me in!

Ok...I know, he should be neutered, but we are going on holiday tomorrow and I want to be able to look after my dog when he had his operation.
A friend of mine is looking after my dog and we sometimes walk her dog and mine together. No matter if there is a male or female, my dog will mount the other one and won't stop it. He has lots of exercise, so it can't be that. I was wondering if it is a dominance thing, but surely, that is too much.
Does anyone know why he is so persistant? He is usuallly very quiet and never does any naughty things, only when he gets together with other dogs, he mounts them in a bullying way.
Does anyone know what I could do before he gets neutered?

Can anyone tell me signs of labour in a cat. We have a cat who is pregnant and think she is overdue. We dont know what to look out for. Shes still eating well and spends majority of the day laying down, stretching out. We are inexperienced cat owners and would appreciate any advice and tips.

The shelter has a rule that in needs to be neutered. I'm afraid that neutering him will traumatize an adult dog and change his personality.
Any suggestions are welcome.
