Or is he promiscuous? He humps the leg of every man, woman, & child who enters the door. What gives?

Sounds like the answer might be a matter of opinion. ;-)

I would say he's very dominant. I've seen this happen not only with male dogs but with female dogs....that's an interesting site to see!

This would actually concern me; especially if at some point one of the people he begins to hump is a woman on her menses.

This dog is acting out a breeding passion. Dogs can get very aggressive (angry and mean) when they are broken apart during this desire to breed. If he mounts a child and an adult tries to pull the child away, the dog may become angry over the "interruption" and attack the adult (or the child).

I'd suggest to your neighbor to have his dog neutered asap. This will stop much of the activity (if not all of it).

No, he is not friendly, he is totally untrained and has to be taught not to hump. Grab his front paws, drop them to the ground and say NO at the same time. He has to learn not to do it.

He's very very dominant and wants to prove he's king of the world. He needs a basic Obedience class BADLY - hard to maintain the fiction your king if you're sitting & downing to someone elses command. and by the way if he was certain he was king of the world her wouldn't have to prove it
