Do you need to get a permit to keep a raccoon that was gotten before his eyes was opened in Texas?

Only about 4 weeks old now.

I don't think it's legal to keep a wild animal as a pet anywhere. You ought to go to a local wild animal rescue organization. They will be better equipped than you to help the raccoon get started on a life which will give it a fighting chance for survival.

Out here in CA there are a variety and I am sure there must be some near where you are, too,.
