I just adopted a kitten and although I didn't ask any questions on here regarding it, I have been reading a lot of what was posted here. A lot of good information but some very mean answers as well I noticed to people who respond to others who need help. Why do people shout and berate others when they ask for advice, you're calling them stupid and other names doesn't help the situation. I don't know, I was wondering why people respond that way. If you're meaning to help you're not. You sometimes here that people who adopt pets are anti-social, from some of the response I have seen here, I think I can see who fits in that catagory. Anyways, if you're one of the nice answers, what do you think when you see these angry and often mean response to post? And if you're one of those mean poster, why do you respond so? Do you really think a mean response will help others?

Just to let you all know, it wasn't me who had her declawed, it was her previous owner. I've done all the right things as to put posters up, talked to neighbours, animal shelters, vets...called to her, and still nothing. She has a collar with her name and number on it...She's been seen in 2 completely different parts once in the woods, another time across the highway (if it was her)
I thought cats stayed close to home? She is a beautiful girl and loved her family , but might be scared of strangers and will run from them, but does anyone think she may return home??

their cats/dogs. I'm not including the breeders out there. if you loved your pet and cared for his/her well being and health then you would automatically choose to spay/neuter your cat/dog. what do you think about this. I think people are just down right lazy, stupid, and uneducated!!!!

Sometimes my husky will come up to me and bows his head and tries to hide it between my knees, or if i am stretched out on the couch he jumps up and burries his head under my arms. At night time he burries his head under a pillow, takes it out, licks my face and then tries to burry it in my hands or any other place like a blanket or my arm pitt.

He is 5 months old and graduated from puppy training and we are waiting for intermediate to start. Our trainer just said when he jumps on you, ignore him or push him off with your knee or something until he stops. Well when we have company we tell them to ignore him, but half the time they don't and pet him anyway when he jumps. When we do work with him and do everything our trainer told us, he STILL jumps up to lick everyone. He is such a lover. This gets dangerous though because people will lean down and he'll jump up and head butt them. He just is such an attention getter, even though i am home with him all day giving him and his sis lots of attention... he is a terrier mix (that's all they told me at the shelter... we think he has some pit in him)..... we will continue working with him but he just loves everyone and wants to show it... help!!! :) thank you all i enjoy your answers and help every time i ask a question about my pups (and i have lots)...

I have a small apartment and backyard, but have plenty of parks nearby for walks. I like bigger dogs, but am unsure about which breed would do best in these circumstances. Any ideas??

I have a chicken egg that may possibly have live chick a live in it. The date I thought it was due to hatch on was July 14th. But apparently it didn't hatch on that date. I had been tld by someone who owns chickens that depending on how long the egg went without being incubated its normal for it to be late.

Since I don't know when the egg was laid or how its gone with being incubated so I'm sure if its late or not. The same person that told its normal for it to be late also said maybe I should wait until the of the month to see what happens. Well, tomorrow is July 31st the last day of the month, the egg still hasn't hatched.

Should I give a bit more time or gently open it and find what's happend?

FYI: I've been keeping it in a homemade incubator I made myself I also candled it today and there's a shadow that has taken up all the room in the egg except for the aircell.

What should I do about this?

Also has anyone had a scenario similar to mine?

Please help!

answer!
