I hate em all too! I don't really know what makes em so scary or whatever but I do NOT like em one bit! I don't like any size of em either. They are all weird and horrid to be around.

Well i don't know what makes them scary but being scared of them is called arachnophobia!!!!! (means fear of spiders) and i hate them i kill them when i can and sometimes i freak out when one gets on me or too close to me!!!!! It makes me feel creepy to have them touch me!!!! The world would be great if there were no more spiders in it!!!!!!!! my sister sees them and jumps up onto the furniture and yells to someone else to kill the bloody things!!!!!!!

they shouldnt be scary to anyone, i think. my reason being, there arent many of them that are poisonous. I am not scared of any animals, but i can see that a lot of people do not like "bugs". The media definately doesnt help any considering they make movies about spiders that are meant to scare or freak you out. They are just as scared of us as we are of them.

I think as children you were imprinted to fear spiders from your mothers.
The only spiders I ever killed were in the babies room, usually I would catch them and release them outside.
We had garden spiders outside, big webs and big spiders, I had my sons when the were 3or 5 watch the spiders with me, some times we would throw a fly in and watch, to this day they are OK with spiders. Spiders are interesting.

Because spiders (and snakes) have a higher probability than other animals of being venomous. An aversion to their most obvious characteristics is a very healthy mutation that rapidly got incorporated into our gene pool.

I am not scared of spiders. I am in awe of them. I once had a pet Black Widow named Charlotte. She would back up if you put your finger close to her. She didn't know she was a pet of course. She has such a small amount of venom, but it is really potent. If a rattlesnake bit you and had her venom to inject you wouldn't last one minute. I catch them if they are found in my house, and take them outside. My wife isn't so forgiving. They catch many insects that I don't like.

Some people just are that way. Been through 2 husbands, and I was always the spider remover person. They actually are good, they kill the bad bugs--mosquitos, houseflies, etc.

Not sure what makes them scary but when they are around me i jump around. I always feel like one may be crawling on me. One instance one time i had one over top of my bed that was scary. I can't even kill them myself i either pour shaving cream on them or whatever is around or i get someone to do it for me. I really don't like them at all.

I'm absolutely terrified of spiders no matter how small they are because they are always bigger and scarier in my mind.. I think its because they look so menacing and ready to pounce.. argh my skins crawling now at just the thought of them..

I think we are scared of them because we know so little about them, and they are so small they can go anywhere. They are always portrayed as something to be afraid of when actually, they are pretty amazing bugs.
I can handel picking them up but am always worried they will crawl up my sleeve or something.
