cleaning my bbq, threw away the paper towels covered in the grease and muck, dog ate it when I returned outside to put the tray back in the bbq in 1-2 minutes. is this going to make him sick or give him an incredible case of the runs?

My 14 year old cat purrs intermittently, cannot continue purring as he breathes in and it is bearly audible.
Could it be because he was taken from his mother at 6 weeks and that meant he didnt learn certain things from her?

Don't worry, I normally feed everyone seperately. Cats get cat food and the dogs get dog food. But when I slip up, the dogs wait patiently till the cats are done with the dog food, or I remove the cats. Then - alpha dog (basenji) eats, then second in command dog (JR mix) gets to eat. One growl would send the cats running, at least I think that would happen. Or are my dogs altrustic towards their cats. Or are they wussie dogs?

My cats it heat and is driving me crazy! She's hissing at her little sister and us! I'm tired of this and it's only the 3rd time in her life! We are getting her spayed next month, but do I have to wait that long? Can't I just stop the behavier?

My parents have two dogs one is terrified of Thunderstorms, he shakes like a leaf everytime he sees lightining and hears thunder. Is there anything that my parents can do to ease his fears during and after a storm?

Tupalo is our first cat, got her when she was 6 weeks, she is not 6 months. We aquired another kitten, whos about 3 months.
She seems to not like the older kitten thought Tupalo, our 6 month seems to be taking the new kitten better.

Will this change? wi'll they grow accustom to each other? Will it cause jealousy?

My family got a puppy from a rescue and its not that the other pets don't like him its just that the cats are stubborn. The same thing happened when we got another cat about four years ago and the first one marked the house. We have tried everything short of moving and ripping up carpet.

i've been using pine bedding for about 3 months now... i've heard that it is bad for hamsters, is this true?

if it is than what other bedding should i use?

(one of my hams. died at about 1 and a half years was it because of this?)

I have a 7 month old part terrier part curr i believe....I have only been feeding my dog diamond puppy food since i've got him i got him when he was 2 months old...should i feed him table scraps or like the canned dog food?? been feeding him the dry food all this time. This is the first dog i have ever owed so i'm trying to make sure i'm feeding him correctly. Any thoughts?

I have a flea infestation on my two indoor cats and in my house. They will not go away. I have bought Advantage, Capstar, used dawn dishwashing liquid, flea powder, collars, flea combs. Nothing is working to kill the fleas on my poor cats. I tried mixing garlic in their food, they wouldnt go near the plate.
Also, I have used Knockout in my house and have vacuumed and steam cleaned all carpets. The flea population in the house has lessened but they are still around as well. I am at my wits end with these fleas and I am spending a fortune trying to kill them. Any suggestions on a last resort would be appreciated.

Mine is the dog I have now now. She is a black lab mix and she is the sweetest dog ever. she is 51 lbs and she thinks she is a lap dog. She can be that cuddly or she can be my jogging partner and will jog with me for five miles. She know my emotions and she is what I am. If I am happy she is happy, if I am sad she is sad, If I am scared she is scared, if I am angry she is angry. She is the best and I love her soo much! ;-)
