I would get several if I were you.
Guineas are wonderful to have around. They are excellent watch dogs...err birds LOL!
and they are so very nosy.

My grandson was outside with a remote control car one day and the two I have came up to it to check it out.
He would turn it on and chase them with it and then stop it.
they would come right back and look it over.
This went on for about a half hour. We just sat there and laughed at the silly birds.

You will love having them.
Mine will actually peck on the bedroom door because they know I am in here on the computer. I've also seen them peeping in the front door (I have an oval etched glass door in front of my house) and they are looking to see what I am doing.

*They are use to eating about 7:30 AM and will look for you if you are late LOL!

When I was a kid, there were guinea hens that lived in the woods. Nobody ever knew how they got there. I can remember that they really made a lot of funny noises. Over the years, I haven't run across many people who raised them. I think I've seen more peacocks than guinea hens. I remember people saying that the guinea hens ate a lot of insects, especially grasshoppers. So they might keep your insect population down a little. I also think they are prone to being attacked by predators. I don't think they are really the smartest birds. I found this site that may be of interest. Have fun!!

Can't help you with a web site, but my neighbor had some. They didn't seem to take any more care than a chicken. He didn't do anything special for them.
