I am assuming that you haven't changed foods recently to one that contains red food coloring.
If the blood is red, this is lower intestinal. The most common cause for both of your dog's symptoms is hook worms. They really do a job on the lower intestines.
However, if your dog is on a routine parasite preventive and you have these symptoms, there are numerous causes, none of them good.
So, if you aren't on a routine parasite control program, I would worm this dog. Hookworms eggs can live in the soil for years!
If there is no improvement after worming or your dog gets worse, see your vet.

It could be any number of things.
How old is your dog? If she is young, is she current on her vaccinations? It could be parvo. Is she a small breed? If so, is she overweight? Could be abcessed anal sacs. Has she recently been in heat? Pyometria - a uterine infection - is a possibility. Other possibilities include worms, pancreatitis, tumors, bowel disease, lots of things.
You should make an appointment with your vet.

Your pet may have a hernia.... worms are a possibility. Both could be fixed if you were to take the animal to a vet asap.
God bless.

That is never good, I would bring the dog to the vet and bring a sample of her stool with the blood in it so they can analyze it. I'm not sure what it could be, but it can't be good for her.

was she recently spayed? it sounds as if it is an internal infection, and after we had our dog spayed, this was one of the key things our vet warned us to watch for. you really should take her to the vet to be sure.
