I have a scented candle that has been sitting in its jar in a closet for over a year. It was put away after only being a burned and melted down a bit. Will it still have its scent if I burn it now, and is it even safe to burn still? The reason I ask about being safe is it seems to have gotten a little soft while in storage, a little spongy-like. I think the warmth of the closet may have affected it.

I am working on something important today and I just need to know what are the houses of poor people in medieval times made of. I need to know about the roof and especially the walls and doors. If there is any image available, I would also appreciate that. Thank you.

I need a good honest answer, preferably from one who has the experience and knowledge first-hand. I also need this information based on a new modeled mobile home; not an older one. I would also like to know the average cost of a newer mobile home of a dealer's lot. I live in the Midwest region. Thanks! :)

I live on a 1st flr condo facing direct west (3 lg windows in each room) hoping to receive a lot of daylight, which isn't the case. Even on sunny, clear days my home doesn't seem to pull in enough light--I live in a major city the Pac Northwest--& I'd like to find alternative solutions on how to bring in natural daylight as I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder ( SAD).

My view is not obstructed by any structures other than shrubs & in the distance trees that approx 200' away.

What are some products one can purchase (besides light boxes) that can be used to draw the outdoor lighting into the home. I know in Japan they use fiber optic lighting, but I don't know if this is avail here in the USA & is reasonably affordable.

Do fluless type gas fires eliminate the danger of CM fumes escaping?

*UK meaning of the word "gas" - not short for petroleum fuel

This is probably a stupid question, but me and a friend were debating about it. If it is dead, why would you put water at the bottom of it to feed it?

It's puzzled me ever since I saw my first home with a seperate bathroom and toilet.

It's not like we're the poorest continent, and have to have our plumbing exactly in the same room.

Why do we choose to put the dirtiest thing around (a toilet) in the same spot where we try to make our bodies their freshest and cleanest?

All it takes is a thin wall and an extra door.

Part of me thinks it must just be the momentum set by the original British colonists who probably had a habit of not changing their underwear or brushing their teeth.

I'm like a walking lightning rod!!

With the weather cold and very dry at the moment, everything I touch gives me a zap -- sometimes a teeny weeny zap to an all-round electrical charge, that I can feel vibrate! Like when I accidentally touched the prong on the Christmas lights cord!!!

Sometimes I've even seen a gigantic flash! :/

Someone suggested getting a magnetic bracelet when I commented on how I could feel the static coming off WALLS, even, and other furniture, when standing several inches away!

Certainly I have a few clothing items made from synthetic fabrics (and I DO use fabric softener/anti-statics), and I'm not about to rush out an buy a wardrobe of exclusively natural fibres.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I found holes chewed in potato chip bags in my kitchen which is on the lower (a couple inches above the floor) cabinet I dumped all of the chips out in the garbage and no crap or no signs of any thing was in the bag this was on several bags of chips. It also did not chew through or get into anything in a carboard box in the same cabinet. I also found what looks to be but not sure mice crap in a drawer right below the counter top and chew marks on a zip lock bag with cookies and also a chew hole in a matts choclate chip bag. But I dont know how w/e it is is getting up there the drawer is always closed. Also found what looks to be mice crap in a drawer right below the counter top that holds wooden spoons. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. THanks!!!
