Most of the snow blowers made are made by MTD. MTD bought out a lot of the big name manufacturers. I used to like Ariens, Mine is 28 years old, but they don't look too sturdy anymore. I think it's a shot in the dark, no matter what you buy.

Many brands are good-- but go with a 2-stage snowthrower-- they handle heavy wet snow much better (2-stage,not 2-cycle). Ariens brand and Toro are good--available at Home Depot, etc.(I don't work there by the way.).

Ummm I live down south in Ms.. and we dont have snow..Look in the yellow pages under snow..I f you said What I would say off the drive and off my car.. Where ? Anywhere where there's lots of snow...When? when it gets so deep you cant see over the drifts..LOL
