I have two 3 taper candle holders made out of silver inherited from my grandmother. The candles I bought are standard taper candles found at Target. They are slightly too small for the holder and tend to lean to one side or the other. Please give me suggestions on an inconspicuous way to make them fit properly. Thanks!!

I dry my roses by hanging them upside down in my closet, but the white ones always turn yellow as they dry. Is there any way to prevent this?

I have always had traps work before, but I must not be smarter than the average mouse, because I can't trap them and they now have babies. Help! Also I can't afford to call the pest people.

I set out 4 traps yesterday. This morning when I woke up, I have a dead mouse in 1 of the traps and the 2 I put on the counter are still baited, and 1 of them is just plain gone. Do mice drag traps around?
Man this is freaking me out! Where do you think that other trap went? I have looked arount the kitchen for it, and its just nowhere. Suggestions would be helpful as I am flipping out over this missing mouse trap. What if something so big got in it, its dragging it around somewhere snapped onto its neck?

Not only in the box, but now I see them near my microwave. I clean often and even the cabinets where dry items are stored.
When they are on the counter, they are moving slow and then die within a day.
What the heck are they?
They are little and brown.

We have two big dogs that didn't even see it. I'm afraid to put down mouse traps or poison in case the dogs get ahold of it. Our house has a crawl space. I'm sure it got in from there. What's the best way to get rid of them?

My sofa keeps scratching the floorboards, is there something flat I can use to prevent the floor from being scratched.

To be honest I do know there are these things you can use but I have no idea what they are called and where to find them. I searched the net for ages and I can't find anything.

Any DIY ideas, suggestions welcome or if anybody knows what these things are that you put under the sofa stands to prevent them from scratching the boards.

Thank you.

I just bought 4 traps because I have a mouse in my kitchen terrorizing me. It runs out and runs back under the counters and stove, so I decided to put traps out. I baited them with crunch peanut butter. Is that going to work? I put a very small pinch of peanut butter on and put the traps next to the counter line and 1 behind my mixer where I saw mouse poo.

duplex townhouse, I own half & neighbors own other half. The neighbors have a 13 yr old son I give him $15 bucks to mow front yard. The neighbors supposely give son another $15 . So he gets at $30 for mow job. It was cheaper for me than buying a mower. The father got laid off and now is working again. I thought it would benefit both sides. Saturday without letting me know which they' have always done for the past 15 years their son did the leaves in the front yard I gave him 20 bucks 5 dollar tip. So my daughter comes back to tell me that my share I owe is $45 because it took him 41/2 hrs to do that's $90 ( $20 an hr for a 13 yr old). I called the father up and told him I can't afford this. The reason we're having his son do it was to save money. They said they couldn't get in contact with me. If they couldn't I feel that they shouldn't have done it unless we have a clear understand on what son should be paid. I will pay this time but not anymore. I feel used.
