My sofa keeps scratching the floorboards, is there something flat I can use to prevent the floor from being scratched.

To be honest I do know there are these things you can use but I have no idea what they are called and where to find them. I searched the net for ages and I can't find anything.

Any DIY ideas, suggestions welcome or if anybody knows what these things are that you put under the sofa stands to prevent them from scratching the boards.

Thank you.

Get some felt, cut in circles to fit the sofa legs, and glue on - gorilla glue is good. Repeat as necessary. Be careful when sitting - the sofa could scoot a little bit since the felt will not have as much friction as the bare legs do. You might be able to find pre-glued felts at Michaels, Wal-Mart, a craft store, etc.

Hi. They are called Furniture Coasters and can be bought ever where. My favorite places are the dollar stores.

I know the little things you're talking about- But like you, I don't know what they're called.

You could try hot-gluing felt to the legs of your sofa.

Good luck!
