is a sewing machine easier to use then just sewing with a needle by hand?

Kinda depends on what you want to do. Sewing clothing would be a lot easier with a machine. Sewing on a button can be done by machine, but for me it's faster to do it by hand. Generally, a machine is easier.

it's quicker and easier, but personnally i prefer to stitch by hand, because then the seams NEVER come undone
