First of all, I live in a rental, so painting walls or any remodeling is out of the question. I am lucky enough to have an extra room dedicated to all of my business files, computer, etc. etc. but each time I sit down to do any work at home, I inevitably find myself on the couch (or the floor) of my living room in front of the TV with papers spread out all over.

I do have a small TV in the office room just for entertainment while doing boring tasks, but does anyone have any ideas for me so that I ENJOY going into this room and stop toting all my papers back and forth between the living room and the office?

Thanks! (my business thanks you too! :) )

I walked into one of those bargain shops the other day where everything is under $2. I was kind of shocked to see an item called "Rat Paper", it was cardboard covered in sticky glue, and was obviously 'made in china'. Anybody seen or used this stuff?? Kind of a horrible way of catching rats

Two weeks ago woman called the store wanting to return a fridge. She was upset since the sales person did not tell her the ice maker required a water connection. Is this a common occurence? I thought people who have used a fridge in the last 10 years knew that you need a water connection to make continous ice.

I tried watering more, watering less, more sun less sun, fertilizer... nothing seems to work. It seems pretty much toast at this point, but not being a green thumb I am not really sure!

A friend of mine became a consultant and convinced me that Pampered Chef products were just awesome. I ended up buying quite a few (what I thought were going to be) handy kitchen gadgets and some stoneware, and to make a long story short, was very disappointed in just about every one. The Stoneware is the only stuff I don't have any complaints about but I wouldn't rave about them either.

After my experience with The Pampered Chef, I have come to a conclusion - one word - OVERRATED! I'm just wondering what other people honestly think about The Pampered Chef?

I want to buy an AC for my office, that has a timer on it. I want it to AUTOMATICALLY turn on at 5:00PM, reguardless of the temperature before, at or after 5, so by the time I get home, the room is cool. Do any ACs come with this feature?

I live in a block of flats and there is a lot of thick black smoke on my landing and a burning smell (difficult to breathe). I am not sure where it is coming from.

Should I call the fire brigade ? Can I get arrested for wasting their time if they come here and there is no fire ?

Please answer quickly...

We are considering buying a house/land less than 50 kms from a capital city. It is not connected to mains water. It has a 20,000 litre rain water tank for dishes and showers etc, and access to a dam (pumped from another property for a charge) for toilet and gardens etc. The block itself is totally sloping and not suited to put a dam on really...or maybe it is with excavation?? Anyway, just hoping to hear from people who have had a non-mains home or have thought about the implications of it. What should I check and consider before buying?

Okay, so someone who lives at my house has a bathroom. In that bathroom there is a toilet. On that toilet is a toilet seat. Okay, so you have me so far? Over the course of the last year, the toilet seat has developed a faint purple stain that conforms to her butt and legs, and it has gotten worse and worse. This is a two part question... (One), what in the heck caused that? I mean, I am really weirded out. I am willing to guess that it was caused by the dye in her pants mixing with the oils in her skin, but that seems a little out there. (Two) How do you think I get it off? I was going to give softscrub a shot soon, but any help would be appreciated. It is one of those nice, solid toilet seats, so I don't really want to go buy another one, especially if her purple butt is making more butt shaped marks....
