The ladybugs inside my home are in the thousands daily. My house is an A-frame house with glass fronting the east. Each year the ladybug infestation has gotten worse, possibly due to the unseasonbly warmer winters here in the mountains of West Virginia. I would like some help in knowing how to control these insects. PLEASE HELP! There must be some way of controling them.
Thank you!

It was a storybook house in Texas replete with crooked walls and tilted windows, funky fireplaces and wierd doors. It was custom built to look like something out of a fairytale. I would love to know who built it for them and how much something like that would cost. Anyone know anything?

I want to grow a vegetable in a clear pot for my daughter's 5th grade class.
It will be a learning project so something easy and fast. I will be using a clear container so that they can see the roots and vegetable growing.
I live in Southern California so the weather is usually nice and sunny.
Thanks!

I have "hundreds" of flying termite holes throughout the lawn. Last year was the same way.

The house was "termite protected (holes drilled throughout the basement floor)" 10 yrs. ago.

What can I do (so that I don't need a professional exterminator) to rid these "varments"?

I once found some really nice furniture made of really heavy wire covered in plastic so that the summer rains did not harm it ...... it was never hot from the sun ...... but it was in a park, and I never was there when the caretakers were there, to ask where it had come from ...... I love that stuff.

With it went nice low round tables on a pedestal, in heavily coated natural wood ... they were also rainproof and really nice ... spill proof, too, and low enough for a child to feel comfortable using....

In this particular park, there were no umbrellas because planted in the seating section were Honey Locusts ... disarming and lovely ...

Ta!

I have a house plant. I think it's called Dracaena--long slender leaves. I've had it for more than three years. Recently, the leaves have been falling off faster than the normal rate. The bottom leaves are falling off first. There's a white substance at the base of the leaves. I don't know if it's fungus. And I have no clue as to whether this has been causing the leaves to fall off.

I've wiped it off, but it returned, and the leaves still continue to fall off. Generally, I don't like chemical pesticides, but if there's no other cure, I'll try it. Is there a home remedy I can use? Maybe mixing water with something one regularly has in his / her kitchen?

The plant is in a location where it receives moderate light, and it has been in that location from the first day I bought it. I don't think the sunlight is the problem, nor the amount of feeding or water I give it. I'm not akin to transplanting it to a bigger pot, considering its current condition.

When I was a kid growing up in the early 70's, my friend's parents had a gadget in the kids' bedroom that they called a 'water cooler.' It was a free-standing electrical appliance that functioned like a portable air conditioner when you POURED WATER INTO IT. As I got older, I thought this was a dangerous combination, but that's what we did to fill up the reservoir & keep the cool breeze coming on a blazing hot summer afternoon. Does anyone remember anything like this? Are they still being manufactured?

No daft "save toilet paper use both sides" answers please.

My ideas include 1)buy reliable make cars like toyota or honda and keep them for a long time to save on depreciation. 2)Buy shopping in places like aldi 3)use low cost, high nutrition foods like beans.4)use a cheap pay as you go mobile phones

Any ideas?

Just bought a house with a dirt driveway. Can't afford to pave it, but would like to know what options and materials could be used to make it better. Believe crushed rock is one option.
