I live in AZ.and in my back yard i have a small wood pile. in one of the logs we noticed holes and alot of "saw dust" coming out the hole. the last couple of weeks we have noticed big flying beetles coming out (2) what kind of beetles are these and do they hurt (bite or sting) people and how can i get rid of it??

If you lived in Europe I'd suggest it might be a stag beetle which thrives in rotting oak, but in Arizona, well, best wait for someone with some local knowledge to answer your question.
Stag beetles can pinch and are large, maybe two inches long.
and fly like a lead balloon. No aerobatics to be expected...
