I had problems with ants too and was at my witts end until someone told me about Terro..you can buy it at Wal mart and other places..I just put it on the little cardboard pieces and put it around where the ants are..I wouldnt recommend putting it where children or pets can reach it...But it does work...just keep putting it out..

You may be able to stop a troop of ants from marching into your house if you can identify their points of entry and wipe areas with undiluted vinegar. Spray vinegar on thresholds, near sinks, or near appliances where ants are gathering.

Diatomatous Earth. It's a natural substance that is safe for pets and children. I believe you can buy it at your local hardware store. My neighbor gave me some last summer and it really works. You sprinkle it around and it looks like chaulk dust. I think it's like little chards of glass but not harmful to humans.

Sprinkle cornmeal in areas where you have seen them. Leave it alone, the ants will carry it back to their nest. Since they can not digest it, they will soon be dead and gone
