a simple playhouse/storage building for my son amd myself respectively, and would like to know if anyone could give me some tips on the easiest to do. I am a little savvy in the carpentry aspect of SIMPLE things, for exmple, studs 2*4, sheetrocking, but one problem I have is roofing and how to connect the walls. I would like to use regular ole pine studs and use 3/4" plywood for the floor. The walls on the outside will be easy---just some siding. I plan on insulating with 18" insulation(rolls) and then sheet rocking. Yes, tape and floating also. I helped my dad(rip) many years when I was a kid with this stuff but he always had the walls up and concrete floors all I had to do was insulate and sheetrock...any advice would be greatly appreciated....have a good one

Last year I bought a cement bird bath, but failed to notice where the birds bathe has ridges. When it got almost mouldy looking, I tried everything including bleach. I didn't use it this past winter even though I have a heater that stops the water from freezing. I was pretty sure that the heat would make my problem worse. Now that it is spring I'm wondering if I should give up and buy a new one?

Hi, I am really concerned about some of the squirrels in my front yard. About 5 months ago, I noticed a squirrel with no hair on his tail.. He almost looked like a rat. He was definately a squirrel though. More and more have cropped up over the months. Some have different degrees of hair loss on the tail - but always the tail. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? They are New Jersey squirrels (I guess the Grey Squirrel?) I'm afraid that if it's mange, my dog may catch it? or worse yet, maybe there is something growing out there that isn't good for animals? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks! Joyce

As summer approaches, i cant help but be reminded of the past summers spent with countless, annoying insects that somehow seem to always makes their way into my home. I had an idea to use a carnivorous plant, and the first one that came to mind was, of course, the venus fly trap. The only thing is that i heard they only eat about 5 bugs in their entire lifetime. Any suggestions on any other plants to help?

My family and I are going to have a garage sale but we differ on the days to have it, the hours, and how to price and organize it. What do you like when you do garage sales?

I have 3 huge, framed photos of Tigers and want to put them up in my living room. Would it be good or bad luck for me to mount them on my walls? If yes, where would be the best location i.e. facing east, west etc.

If it's any help or relevance - I'm a 'Horse' and my son is a 'Dog' - which are both compatible with a Tiger.

Every morning I'm awoken by birds scratching and pecking and whatever they do on the guttering outside my bedroom window..
I rang the council but was informed that i can't remove the nest as black birds / starlings are protected and could be fined like 5000.(these are black birds)

how can i get rid of them without killing anything?

I have lots of little pets (ferrets and such) that I let run around my home but I also have lots of bugs in the basement. I would like to make the bugs stay away without using anything that can harm the little guys. It's mostly spiders, pill bugs, and silverfish. Any suggestions?
