As summer approaches, i cant help but be reminded of the past summers spent with countless, annoying insects that somehow seem to always makes their way into my home. I had an idea to use a carnivorous plant, and the first one that came to mind was, of course, the venus fly trap. The only thing is that i heard they only eat about 5 bugs in their entire lifetime. Any suggestions on any other plants to help?

Spiders eat insects, if you don't mind them,

Yellow sticky traps will catch some

Blue sticky traps can catch some

Dragonflies will eat almost any softbodied insect, They have been doing it for 280,000,000 years

here is something to try it does work, fill ziploc bags about half full of water and hang around the door and on porches/patios. It helps in keeping bugs down especially flies. I know sound crazy but it works.

put out sticky glue mouse traps, (in places where animals can't get into them). They catch tons of spiders, etc.
