Try leaving a couple of glasses of red wine in different areas of the house. They are attracted to the smell. They go in for the treat, then drown. You can see them floating around in the glass. This is only for people who object to chemical sprays.

Hmmmm, could be several sources. I assume the carpets are being well vacuumed and you are throwing the bags out when you finish......just in case they are carpet bugs.

But more likely they are coming from the drain traps. Pour some Pine Sol, Lysol or whatever smell you can tolerate down each sink and then close the stopper. Bleach will work too, but I'd use one of the fragrance bleaches...personally.

Houseplants???? Soil gnats may be your problem. Pour soapy water over the soil until it runs out the the bottom and discard it.

Clean your entire house, through out any fruit or food laying out, and make sure your screens on your windows do not have any holes. You can try fly traps too.

I know that liquid dish soap mixed with white vinegar works , more vinegar then soap .

try do use stuff at the store then if it don't work then get a professional
