Two weeks ago woman called the store wanting to return a fridge. She was upset since the sales person did not tell her the ice maker required a water connection. Is this a common occurence? I thought people who have used a fridge in the last 10 years knew that you need a water connection to make continous ice.

3 years ago I was going to buy a new fridge, I thought I would get one with an ice-maker, then realised my kitchen floor would have to be taken up for the water pipe. So I bought one without that facility and bought an ice-machine which you fill with a jug, it is brilliant.

There should have been a water connection there from the last one. A little copper pipe and a saddle valve and there you go.

It does seem to be common sense. But nothing surprises me anymore have seen and heard too many stupid things. I does make you wonder how they can get along in the world, it is probably very expensive to be that dumb.

it was up to the sales person to explain that it needed a supply,we just put water in them plastic square boxes to make iice. it may of been her first one. as yhey are darned expensive, so is the plumbing in of these appliances. they do not tell you that it needs electric or gas, because you either want a lecy one or a gas one.
