Recently, I have seen these tiny flies flying around my home. They're not house flies, fruit flies, or gnats. They're a little smaller or about the same size as fruit flies, but not as fast nor do they have red eyes. Does anyone have any ideas what kind of flies these are? And, what's the best way to get rid of them? I looked around and I don't see any breeding spots.

I read a short list of things you should do before selling your house. One of the things that they said you should do is remove all smells from the house. How do you do that? I'd imagine having the carpet cleaned is one. I do have 1 dog (beagle).

Will it scratch or come off after long usage like Teflon? There seems to be some coating on it, some "wax-looking" like substance.

When looking up the vent it seems open. Any idea why we are getting this smokey smoke throughout the house? What else can we try to do???? (It is not a fireplace insert.) We get smoke that we can smell and see in every room in the house.

i've been told there is a significant amount of energy being produced and the initial high cost could be paid off fairly quickly by selling the excess power back to the power company...any thoughts?

My girlfirend and I have just bought a flat in the south of London and its a complete fixer-upper. We are a young couple and have had to buy a place in need of lots of attention in order to get on the ladder. The place is comletely gutted and we're starting from scratch and undertaking most the work ourselves as we can't afford to get people in. We work during the week so the weekends are the only opportunity to do DIY never starting before 10am and finishing by about 5pm; however, one of my neighbours is not best pleased and the relationship is slowly breaking down. She feels its unreasonable for us to work at the weekends while she relaxes, we have been living out of one room for the past 6 months and I can't see anyway around it but to continue and ignore my neighbours calls to stop. At the same time I fear I am seeing the issue from only my side of the table. Am i in the wrong morally as well as legally?

I was wondering if anyone knew why non-drip candles don't drip? Are they made with special ingredients?Or maybe the process of making them is different? Thanks!

Please tell me what this item is called.
It is desk height and about the size of a large bed-side table when closed. As it is opened, a platform, on which is a serving tray, rises upto the level of the opened leaves.

Sure we can use candles and Gas lamps. Which i have used.
Although i was looking for something less dangerous more natural.

Solar power seems pretty awsome but i dont want messy batteries, plus im worried about the acid from the batteries unless they have a better system for storing the energy now days.

As we are always having power outages. Normally at night around tea time in summer, so im looking for something friendly and easy to use, as the electricity companys arent helping.
Cooking is ok i have a Gas Stove top so i can always get that part sorted..
Just cooking by candle light or a tourch isnt that easy.
So any hints.. Please throw them at me.

We have a gas fireplace, and our house has high celings where I think we loose a lot of heat. I heard if you turn on the celing fan to a low setting it will help push the heat back down to the floor. Does that really work, and does it need to be set clock-wise, or ccw?

..While going to college I decided to rent a small efficiency than living in the dorms. Anyways, my problem is the small space & where to put my clothes. Most of my them are still in a suitcase & others, are crammed into a small closet. I was thinking of getting some sort of a small dresser, because I have less than 4 ft of room space on the one wall, but 1 major factor is that I don't have much money to work with (afterall Im in college) & the small dressers at Walmart & Target are over $70. I also dont know the city well enough to go looking for garage sales, & its around winter & they don't have very many. Since Im renting, I cannot build any sort of shelving or make holes in the walls, without paying for it when I move out. I was also thinking of plastic containers, but its too much of a hassle unless they have drawers on them & all I can find with drawers on them are too small. Any ideas of what I could do or where I could shop for something cheap? I live in Little Rock, btw.

Late at night I have a raccoon digging under my home. I have heard to get rid of them you can use coyote urine to make them feel threatened and they pack up and find a different home. Has anyone ever used coyote urine? If so did it work? Are there any other methods that were successful for you without hurting them? Please help before they have babies under my house!!

The window to my balcony faces another apt window adjacent to mine, so if I open my window/curtain the other apt can see into my room. I can't do anything to the window (apt rented), but I want to "place" something on my balcony that can obstruct the other window's view a bit. However I don't want it to be obvious that I'm trying to obstruct their view. Any tall items you can think of (please be specific) that you might "just have" on a balcony that can still help w/ my privacy? Thanks sooo much!!

They are plastic toys like action figures, spaceships, toy soldiers and dolls and boardgames. Been sitting in water and grime for months. Would a garbage company recycle that kind of plastic or just dump them in a landfill? Should I just burn them?
