If they are in your basement, which is where they usually are, you might what to try to use a de-humidifier. They like the cool damp air. If you "dry out" your basement, they hopefully will find another place to live. Otherwise, invest in the exterminator.

Crickets eat insects, they are thought to bring your home good luck.
