I read a short list of things you should do before selling your house. One of the things that they said you should do is remove all smells from the house. How do you do that? I'd imagine having the carpet cleaned is one. I do have 1 dog (beagle).

First of all, CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. And I mean everything. Take down all the curtains/drapes/blinds. Scrub the walls, windows, woodwork and floors. Have the carpets professionally cleaned. If the furniture smells like dogs or smoke, have them cleaned too.Paint anything that's peeling or stained. Wash out the cabinets and don't forget to empty the closets and wash down the walls in there too. And don't forget the basement. Clean and disinfect there too. Buy a dehumidifier for the basement. When that's done, wash the dog. Then use some plug in air fresheners around the house. There's nothing more welcoming than a fresh clean smell. Another nice hint is to keep some cookie dough handy. Pop a few cookies in the oven and bake them just before there's a showing or open house. It makes the house very welcoming. And gives you a little snack to take along when you have to clear out for the open house! Good luck.

Open windows and air out the place. Clean everything like showers, tubs floors, window sills. Everything you can think of and then use some fabric deoderizer. Light a few good (not cheap) candles. Put around in a few room some of those plug in room deoderizers. Vacuum every day because of the dog.

Clean and Clean...put dryer vents over every register and return cold air vents. Run the air conditioner a while.

the best way for poo toilet smells is light a match or piece of paper it really gets rid of smell .I have to do it at work every day otherwise i would be sick ,my work mate has a rotten bottom.

well... you have to clean it good and then spray it with vodka water and then maybe you could spray some like febreeze... use lots of clorox...that stuff works great...
